Hi there! You might remember I recently posted a biographical sketch on Tandy K. Cox and Elizabeth Jane McCormick Cox. Since then, I've been searching for Tandy's parents with no success as of yet. But the biography did lead me in a different direction also - it mentions Tandy's mother's second husband's name, Franklin Tobey. I decided to pursue that information and see where it took me, and was rewarded with the following information:
Sometimes my searches lead me to places I really didn't anticipate.
As you can see, Franklin Tobey and Mary A. had three more children. I also learned from the 1879 Census that Tandy had a younger brother named John.
